Our leisure centre offers a fully equipped gym including cardiovascular and resistance training equipment ensuring you can get a great workout in while staying away from home. Working out in the gym can reduce the risk of many diseases, stress, depression and anxiety. Exercising in the gym or taking part in studio classes increases energy and endurance, improves confidence, mental acuity, strengthens and boosts your immune system, builds and maintains healthy muscles, bones & joints, slows the ageing process and helps you sleep better.

Our Gym and Fitness Centre is considered one of the best gyms in Galway and its surrounds where our users are encouraged to utilise all our health and fitness facilities which also include an 18-metre heated pool which is the perfect recovery zone for fitness enthusiasts. In addition to this our gym includes an exercise studio, an elevate rowing machine, benches, racks and free weights and much more.

Our fully qualified gym staff and instructors are always on hand to offer assistance and guidance during your visit.

Opening Times:

Monday to Friday – 5:45am to 9pm | Saturday & Sunday – 8am to 8pm | Bank Holiday Mondays – 8am to 8pm

Children under 15 years of age are welcome when accompanied by an adult between the hours of 6.00 am and 7:00 pm Monday to Thursday and until closing time Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Gym, pool and Spa areas close 15 minutes prior to the closing times noted above and all members are asked to be mindful of the need to vacate the club’s changing rooms before closing time.

18-Metre Swimming Pool

At the 4-star Claregalway Hotel our 18-metre heated swimming pool is not only a recovery zone for fitness enthusiasts but a perfect way to spend some time during your family break. With a designated children’s pool for the kids to splash around in, you will have hours of family fun during your stay.

*Please note that swimming caps are compulsory whilst using the pool facility – these items are available to purchase at the reception desk.
