Galway Aboo Festival 2024

Something spooktacular is taking place in Galway’s Latin Quarter during the Halloween weekend. Galway is known for its vibrancy and culture, and the Halloween Mid Term Break is no exception. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the October bank holiday weekend, the city’s medieval streets will host many fun and free events planned for the weekend with high-spirits guaranteed. The fiendishly creative Macnas Halloween Parade will return, bringing up to 80,000 spectators onto the streets for the standout event of the season.

Visit Brigits Garden this Halloween and enjoy a Spooky Treasure Hunt! This outdoor treasure hunt that can be done at any time over the midterm period as an additional activity for visiting families. The Spooky Treasure Hunt will get you into the Halloween spirit and you are welcome to come in costume! Are you brave enough for the mummy in the cronóg and the coffin in the Stone Chamber? Collect the clues and help us get rid of the spell cast on the Gardens by the nasty Púca!

Make the most of Halloween 2024 and bring the family to Spooky Fest at Loughwell Farm Park, the only interactive Halloween experience for kids in the West of Ireland. The Spooky Fest family friendly horror experience which is expected to open between 11am and 4pm from Saturday to Monday of the October bank holiday weekend with the main farm park attraction open as usual every day of the school midterm break.

Slieve Aughty Halloween Festival

Slieve Aughty are planning a spooktacular family experience at their annual Halloween festival. Enjoy the beauty of autumn with a walk through the countryside of South Galway or a pony ride to Bloody Mary’s Haunted House, or take the little ones on a witch’s walk in the Enchanted Wood. If you’re lucky (or unlucky!) you might encounter ghosts, witches or other spooky Halloween creatures hiding in the forest. Answer the fun Halloween puzzles to help find your way!
