Baboró Arts Festival

The annual Baboró International Arts Festival takes place in Galway City in October. Baboró International Arts Festival Children is Ireland’s largest international arts festival exclusively for children and families.

Every October, Baboró present performances and events across Galway city. An interesting festival programme made up of theatre, dance, music, art and literature varying from annually bringing a diversity of exposure to the creative arts created especially for young audiences and their families. The origin of the name Baboró comes from a traditional Irish song called ‘Im Bim Baboró’. Baboró was first set on its way within the world-famous Galway Arts Festival which first presented a Baboró programme during its summer festival in 1994.
