Turoe Pet Farm

Turoe Pet Farm provides a great day out for everyone to enjoy no matter what the weather conditions. One can take a leisurely walk around the 14 acre park in the fresh country air and the delightful sound of birds singing or go indoors to experience the excitement of children of all ages bouncing their way around the “Inflatable city” – one of Europe’s largest bouncing castles.

Location: The farm is situated 6km north of the N6 at Loughrea near the village of Bullaun on the R350.

Historic Dartfield Horse Museum and Heritage Centre

Ireland’s horse museum and park is a truly wonderful interpretation of the horse, emphasising the relationship between the Irish and their horses. Lots of interesting displays; a gallery, forge, saddlery, library and lots more. Discover a forgotten world where society relied on the gentle pace of the horse in days gone by. Why not go horse riding lessons or go trail riding while you’re there?

Connemara Smokehouse

The Connemara Smokehouse specialises in producing wild and organic salmon. As Connemara’s longest established Smokehouse, this is a fascinating location to visit, take a tour and purchase a great array of traditionally hand-prepared seafood products. The tour takes about 1 hour.

Galway City Museum
