The ‘I Do’ Wedding Service Awards 2012
The wedding team at The Claregalway Hotel has witnessed the hard work and dedication that is demanded of wedding service suppliers over the past 8 years. The behind the scenes efforts that are exerted by professionals in the industry often go unnoticed. The ‘I Do’ Wedding Service Awards will give the very best in the industry the recognition that they deserve.
Finalists for the ‘I Do’ Wedding Service Awards have been voted by past Brides & Grooms of the Claregalway Hotel. This year there are 15 categories; each category will have up to 8 nominations from all over West of Ireland. An online vote will then determine the winners in each category, with one vote registered per email address to ensure that no duplicate votes are cast. Voting open on Monday, 21st May and stays live for 3 weeks. The winners will be announced at a Gala Ball held at The Claregalway Hotel on Thursday, 21st June.
Those awarded with the ‘I Do’ Wedding Service Award will  ‘I DO Summer Wedding Fair’ at the Claregalway Hotel on Sunday, 15th July 2012. The Claregalway Hotel’s ‘I Do’ Wedding Fair will host only the very best suppliers in the west of Ireland as decided by public vote. Winners of each group will have an exclusive stand in their division.
Benefits for the winners are as follows:
• Public recognition of your business as the best service provider in your category in the West of Ireland
• Complimentary stand, worth €250, at The Claregalway Hotel’s ‘I Do’ Wedding Fair on Sunday July 15th 2015
• As there will be only one winner from each category present at the ‘I Do’ Wedding Fair the winning business will be guaranteed complete exclusivity in their category
• The ‘I Do’ Wedding Fair will be held on the same weekend as the Claregalway Garden Festival. An event that attracted 10,000 visitors last year.
• Extensive publicity for your business throughout the West of Ireland and the option to showcase your award winning talents to prospective brides and grooms.
A few pointers:
• Voting is online only and is open from Monday 21st May. Voting is open to the public; simply go to http://www.claregalwayhotel.ie/idovote and cast your votes.
• Voting will remain open until Friday 18th June.
• Each voter is allowed one vote per category and per email address. Multiple votes by the same person will be discarded.
• Voters may vote in all categories, but can only submit one set of votes. (So once their vote has been submitted they cannot go back to change their vote or add additional categories).
• While we appreciate that you will want to let your customers know that they can vote for you, please note that monetary or other incentives (vouchers etc.) in return for votes will result in disqualification. We want to keep it fair.
• The winners of each category will be required to attend the ‘I DO’ Wedding Fair at the Claregalway Hotel on Sunday, 15th July.
• Please not that the voting page will not be accessible until Monday 21st May.
5 Top Tips to Maximise Your Vote:
1. Put a link to the voting page on your website www.claregalwayhotel.ie/idovote
2. Let your customers know that you have been nominated by advertising the A4 image you have received in a clear and prominent position in your shop. Blog about the awards on your webpage or post it on your social media accounts. Your social media networks are a fantastic way to communicate with your fans on a personal basis. Ask for support from current fans and use this competition as a way of recruiting new customers to your business.
3. If you are advertising in the paper, add the ‘I DO Wedding Service Award Finalist’ symbol to your advert.
4. The QR barcode that we have attached is a personalised barcode that when scanned by a camera phone with the correct reader application such as a free QR scanner app or the Google goggles app you will be linked directly through to the www.claregalwayhotel.ie/idovote page. This secure and innovative technology allows voters to access the voting page directly from your advert in the paper.
5. Tell all your friends and family to get behind you! Remember, you have already been chosen as a finalist by past customers or current fans of your business; this in itself is a great achievement.
The ‘I Do’ Wedding Fair will exhibit only the best in wedding service suppliers from the West of Ireland. Exhibition stands at the wedding fair will be made up from winners of each category. In the event that the winner of the category can not attend, the runner up from that category will be invited in their place.
The ‘I Do’ Wedding fair will offer suppliers a unique opportunity to exclusively showcase their award winning talents to potential brides and grooms.
