Top Tip: If your flight is quite long, don’t wear mascara. When you fall asleep, it will smudge and leave a stain underneath your eyes. If however you can’t go out without applying mascara, then I would strongly advise that you get your eyelashes tinted instead. That way, you also eradicate the risk of it fading in the heat.

Double frill sleeve dress

This year’s most famous honeymooner Kate Middleton strolled the grounds of Buckingham Palace the day after her wedding wearing a very stylish deep blue dress paired with a black blazer and wedge heels. Fashionable yet casual, it was the perfect going-away outfit. It’s always a good idea to wear layered clothing for the flight (for example, a top underneath a long sleeved cardigan and a stylish scarf.) That way, if you are too hot or cold, you can easily add or subtract an item of clothing.

The LWD (Little White Dress) is so easy to dress up and down.

The beauty about this dress is that it is so versatile, it can be transformed into a variety of different outfits through the use of different shawls, jewellery, belts, shoes, cardigans, and boleros. For a day time look, you could wear this dress with wedges and a sunhat. In this particular picture however, I paired the dress with a grey clutch and a choice of two pink jackets for a soft night-time style.

The 70’s dress

This is one of my favourites!

While you can pair this dress with either a black or white blazer, I would advise that you opt for the latter, particularly if you are honeymooning in a warm climate. Black absorbs heat thus increasing your risk of sunburn (so make sure you also avoid black sunhats!)

Waterfall tie-belt

This is the perfect outfit for a day shopping or for those late evenings when the air takes a chilly turn. A black or white camisole will work perfectly underneath the jacket. The key to savvy packing is knowing how to create space by packing key items that can be dressed up or down with the help of accessories, etc. For instance, the trousers, camisole and jacket featured in this particular picture are neutral in colour and so, can be worn with a variety of different pieces. Top Tip: Do not wear new shoes on a long flight. The flight can make your feet swell and new shoes will quite likely be uncomfortable and cause blisters. Wear comfortable shoes such as wedges or gladiator sandals. If you bought new shoes as part of your honeymoon wardrobe, break them in first.

Sunflower print maxi

Technically this dress could be worn as a casual day outfit, however I think it would be much nicer to save it for a romantic evening meal. The red clutch works with the red accents in the dress while the diamante sandals injects a subtle bling into the look. If you don’t want to go with a red clutch, the colours yellow, purple and green will also work. If you don’t like the bare neck look, why not wear it with an elaborate choker necklace or a plain shawl.

This is another classic example of clever packing. You can wear this kaftan on its own as a dress for a night out or with white capri pants for day time activities. Given the bold detail of the kaftan print, I would suggest against wearing a necklace otherwise your overall look will appear far too busy. I would also advise that you pair the outfit with a handbag in a contrasting colour such as a brown or light pink.

Top Tip: Don’t pack the outfits as you choose them. Lay them all out on the bed first so that you can see exactly what you plan to bring and which items can be paired together to create new looks. If you pack them directly into your suitcase, you will be tempted to sneak in a variety of just-in-case items.

Palm print halter dress

If your holiday involves a lot of driving then this is the perfect travelling outfit.

Pair it with a white blazer to give it a tailored edge. I would also advise that you keep the look clean and structured by wearing minimal jewellery (keep it to three items: bracelet, watch and wedding ring).

Top Tip: Pay attention to the fabrics. Ask yourself if the fabric of the item will cling to your skin and make you feel clammy. Will it show up perspiration stains? Select clothing that allows your skin to breathe. Light cotton and linen are wonderful fabrics for hot climates and they won’t show up any signs of perspiration.

Lace back top and scallop shorts

Here we have another example of how the scallop shorts (featured above) can be worn during your holiday. This outfit is more suitable to a lazy evening where the heat has left the air and you need a top that can keep away the chill but yet is still light enough to keep you cooled. While the cotton material will help you stay warm, the lace detail around the arms, shoulders and neck will ensure that your skin can still breathe.

Ottoman bustier dress

This is a very feminine dress so I would suggest that you highlight its beautiful colour by pairing it with another traditionally-feminine colour such white or dusty pink.

In the photograph, I have featured a soft cardigan and a sharp blazer. The tailored white blazer gives the look an overall clean structure however the sequins on the pink cardigan injects an element of sparkle to the outfit. Just make sure you remember to always keep your make-up as simple and as natural-looking as possible when wearing contrasting colours such as these.

This is the Little Black Dress with a twist.

As you can see, the left side features some subtle rouching not to mention some unusual sleeve detail thus making it a very elegant number. If you want a small easy-to-carry clutch, the style of the white leather one featured in the picture will compliment the design of the dress. If however you prefer a more spacious bag, then you will love the tribal style bead-and-sequin shoulder bag.
